Q2 | 2022 Newsletter

Recent Events:

The RiskSpectrum Team was in Honolulu, USA, for the PSAM 16 conference, where we had a booth and were the main sponsors. The RiskSpectrum Team also presented 7 papers on topics such as improved algorithms, new tools, and methods to address new technology and the increasing demand for efficiency and effectiveness.

RiskSpectrum has been purchased by a company called TSS. TSS specializes in the development of software companies with a focus on delivering effective and efficient solutions to its customers. This will enable the RiskSpectrum business to continue with our long-term development strategy. We see this as a great opportunity for all parties involved. Being acquired by a software specialist organization will provide us with additional focus, capability, and agility. An official letter with more information will be sent later.

Upcoming news/releases:

 RiskSpectrum PSA 1.5.2

This version will have an improved licensing system allowing for multiple projects to be open at the same time without the need to borrow a license.

July 28 User Group Meeting:

The next User Group Meeting will be slightly different from past ones. The meeting will be more of a demonstration/training session for RiskSpectrum PSA Macro. All registrants will be given a RiskSpectrum PSA license for the day (if needed) as well as a RiskSpectrum PSA Macro license free for 30 days. The aim is to show how the software improves the accuracy and speed of making changes in your PSA model and to give you a chance to use it.

London User Group Meeting:

We are going to reconvene our annual London User Group meeting that was held annually until COVID struck. The original plan was to host it at LR facilities in London. With the sale of RiskSpectrum we will no longer have access to those facilities. Given the short time until the originally scheduled date of the User Group Meeting, we do not have a choice but to postpone it. We will still hold it in London, UK, but from November 8 to 9. Our sincerest apologies to those who are negatively affected by this change.

With just a few months to go, we are starting to plan for the event and need to have a good idea of the number of attendees that will attend. If you plan to attend the event, please RSVP by responding to this email.

If you would like to be a presenter or would like to propose a topic of discussion, please also get in touch.

Future User Group Meetings:

We would like to diversify the locations of our User Group Meetings. We know that London is not the easiest place to get to for some of our clients and we would like to offer these meetings more locally.

If you have an interest in hosting or helping us arrange a user group meeting closer to you, please get in touch.

Model conversion and verification:

With the new versions of RS PSA available, we would like to announce a new service where we can aid you in the conversion of the model and specifically verification and validation of the results between versions.

If you would like to find out more about this service, please contact us.

HASP Keys:

Following up on the previous Newsletters, we would like to confirm to all users of HASP keys for RS PSA 1.3.2 that LR is no longer supporting HASP keys. HASP keys will not be deactivated or shut down, and no action is needed on your part. This means that HASP keys that need replacing will be replaced with license files where possible.

Price increase:

As mentioned in previous Newsletters, there was a yearly price increase on July 1, 2022, of 2.5% on all RiskSpectrum products. With inflation running higher than usual, the 2.5% increase does not cover our higher expenses. Going forward, we will not advertise the exact amount of the yearly price increase. Rather we can state that it will be at least 2.5%.

If inflation stays high, we may also have to adjust prices earlier than July 2023.

Feedback:

To continue to develop RS products in a way that is useful and solves the needs of our customers, we would like to invite you to take part in a survey. We will send out a separate request to take part in the survey.
