Recent Events:

On February 21 we held an online User Group Meeting showcasing the newest version of our flagship software RiskSpectrum PSA 1.6. As part of the major revamp, we also release RSAT 4.0. This is the fastest calculation engine to date and improves calculation times by a factor of 10 for very large models.

On April 17 we held a user group meeting announcing our collaboration with CentroidLabs in marketing and selling their well-established fire PSA software called FRI3D.

Recent Releases:

RiskSpectrum PSA 1.6 was released in February. The main improvements are the possibility to control the exchange order, improvement of license treatment when using multiple instances on a computer, RSA import of analysis cases and BC-sets, and calculation improvements (see RSAT below). A specific improvement is the ability to perform silent installation, to facilitate the installation of PSA in especially large organisations.

RSAT 4.0.0 is focused on calculation efficiency for especially very large models and calculation cases. Another specific improvement to mention is the improvement of success modules when frequency events are used as logical switches in the function events.

Upcoming releases:

RiskWatcher Desktop 2.2.2 will be released at the end of April or the start of May. It will have long ID support, support of RiskSpectrum versions later than 1.5.1 as well as improvements to the calculation capabilities.

RiskWatcher Web 1.9

RiskWatcher Web 1.9 will include several new features, for example, the ability to create plans and import directly from the RWConnector (in the web interface), a logging feature for the main actions taken in the event history, facilitated start of calculations (ensure all needed calculations are done), CCF potential also in Whatif, selection of the preferred start page for operators and planners. A new dashboard module for Configuration Risk Management. And much more. The release is scheduled for this summer.

Multi-unit PSA Tool

The multi-unit tool solves the risk of simultaneous failures of several sources (eg. reactors), using existing PSA models. It is a very efficient way of calculating the multi-unit risk, without needing to re-build your existing PSA models or create combined models. The tool is developed with support from primarily MHI in Japan. The release is scheduled for this summer.

User Group Meetings:

The next online User Group Meeting will happen on May 29, 2024. We will discuss RiskSpectrum HRA and our development roadmap for it. There will be 2 sessions available, they are identical. Click HERE to register.

Our next in-person User Group Meeting will be in Stockholm from June 13 to 14, 2024. In the days preceding the meeting, we will offer Course 2: RiskSpectrum PSA Modules or HRA training in Stockholm. Click HERE to register for either.

The RiskSpectrum team will attend PSAM in Sendai, Japan from October 7 to 11. We will set up a booth and treat our clients to an evening out. Contact us if you will be there and would like to meet.

Our next RiskWatcher Conference will take place in The Netherlands in 2025.

Model conversion and verification:

With the new versions of RS PSA available we would like to announce one of our services where we can aid you in the conversion of the model and specifically verification and validation of the results between versions. We can also aid you in preparing the PSA model for RiskWatcher.
