RiskSpectrum® Magazine How-To March 2007

The Risk Increase factor (RIF, also known as Risk Achievement Worth, RAW) is a measure that can give you information about how important a component or a system is based on a fault tree/event tree model that you use for safety or reliability calculations.

We have tried to shed some light on this complicated issue by explaining it in the How-To article in the March 2007 issue of RiskSpectrum Magazine. Due to shortage of space we decided to only include a brief summary in the magazine and instead publish the complete article here.
